TAKAHASHI Yuichiro

Lecturer

Yuichiro Takahashi’s works are three-dimensional pieces made of steel and stainless steel utilizing hammering and welding techniques. Most of his works are inspired from natural motif, and forms expressing a sense of vitality are explored using metal as the material. Metal is artificial material and not natural. It may be regarded as industrial material associated with hard and cold impressions, but Takahashi believes that it is highly potential art material with excellent durability and workability, and a variety of expressions can be produced through heating and chemical processes.
