Research on product design development of products for a company and Study of design process of co-creating experiential values with users.
After graduating from Department of Industrial, Interior and Craft Design, Musashino Art University, Fumio Morita entered TOSHIBA CORPORATION. Morita was responsible for product design and advanced development of information devices such as mobile phone and PC such as dynabook series. Subsequently, he transferred to the new business design development team, and took charge of development of concepts for new business, commodity and services as well as planning of workshops. Presently, he directs product design of home appliances. As in-house designer, his dedication is not limited to designing of pure “objects”, but he also takes design approach co-creating experiential values or “matters” with users to create valuable experiences for them.
