Through the process of hammering and forming of metal, red-hot steel is hammered into a form while it is still red. It is repetition of hammering, twisting, and hammering again, to create a form. It is his joy to see the inorganic material transforming into a form with a sense of warmth and good atmosphere using heat and hammer. Steel is extremely honest material. Komine’s motto as metalwork artist is “Art of the moment, and an object for life”.
